Hey, I'm Yulisa

A little bit about me

I am a Bay Area, California native adventuring around the world. I started my business shortly after I retired out of the US Army in San Antonio, Texas in 2021 and I am now onto the beautiful Denver, Colorado for 2024. I'm a lover of nature, my dogs and anything that looks like my Pinterest board. I am currently going to UC Denver for my BA in Photography. With this constant craving for knowledge and diversity, I like to think I plant little seeds of it into my work to highlight the true love in the world.

A little bit about my photography

My passion for photography began while I started hiking with a new bucket list of visiting all of the national parks. I had to capture the beauty of the Earth so I got my first camera and fell in love! I soon found out that capturing the adventurous souls like myself in these magical places makes me so happy. Have you ever been so happy because someone else is happy? That’s exactly what it's like photographing my couples! I believe everyone's love story should be told exactly how they wrote it whether it be traditional or non-traditional, there is a safe space for you in front of my lens.

Since I am currently in school for my BA in Photography, I am continuously learning and growing. I have gained extensive knowledge on the technology but also on the history. My goal with my work is to never forget the role photography has played in history of marginalized people of color in order to carry on with a conscious heart of how much of an impact WE can have. My goal is to build a community through my lens.

I dedicate my work to my family, ancestors, and all those who paved the way for me to be here.
